Just as seasons signal us to change our diet, the start of a new year is a beautiful time to develop your toolkit for refreshing and refilling your mind, body and spirit during the year. Refreshing and refilling is a very personal experience. Depending on you, it may include a variety of tools, or only specific ones. The key is to plug into what works best for you.

Massages: While relaxing, massages also help to circulate and balance the body. There are a variety of massage styles.

Baths: Baths have a rich history of helping to restore a person. At the end of a long day, take a hot bath with salts. You can purchase a variety of types of bath salts at your local health food store or order my favorite, Sunrider’s Kandesn Spa Bath Salts which you can order through me.

Walks: There are several benefits to walking each day, including getting fresh air and sunlight (which contributes to your vitamin D levels). Walking also provides a form of exercise that is not strenuous but accomplishes getting you out and moving – very good for the mind, body and spirit.

Exercise: Often people will notice a reduction in their stress after exercise – the positive boost to the body increases your ability to deal with stress. Additionally, the positive benefits that result from exercise add to your overall sense of wellbeing.

Support: Having a support system can be life-changing but it’s not the same for everyone. Some people like to have a group of people, others like an individual friend while others may find they feel best supported from less familiar means such as workshops, groups or seeking outside counsel. Whatever works best for you is great.

How to Build a Strong Support System

Nutrition: As a woman, having an understanding of your body and how to balance your hormones through nutrition and lifestyle is powerful. Familiarize yourself with the information shared in “Eating Right For Your Hormonal Health” (links to your book in pdf form on your website) – these tips will change your life.

Therapeutic Benefits of Laughter

Trips:
Whether it’s around the globe or down the street, if you find yourself stuck, make a point to get into a new space. Plan a trip, go on a drive, walk down the street – whatever you need to do to get into a fresh space. This can work wonders on helping to get out of a rut.
